Rest in Peace Dr. Pepper

Pets have a special way of bringing many people together while also being an important part of the family. Dr. Pepper played a big role in my family and in my life. Pepper was a senior dog that my family and I rescued 3 years ago and ever since then he has brought a lot of joy into our lives. When things got tough, Pepper was always there to be a family member to lean on. A rather calm and obedient dog, Pepper was also filled with joy and peace. After living a rough life prior to when my family adopted him, Pepper gradually felt at peace with the family and felt comfortable. Watching Pepper go from a timid rather isolated personality to a happy and rather peppy personality was one of the best things to see. Seeing the physical changes was also was rewarding because when we first got Pepper he was severely overweight and at the end of his life he was in great shape. As Pepper lost his weight, it almost seemed as if the worries that he came into the family with were also lost. I would like to say that his last few years on Earth were relaxing just like any pets life should be. As much as my family changed his life, he also changed ours.

Rest in Peace Dr. Pepper, you deserve it!
