Apple TV+ Thoughts

I am definitely in the Apple enthusiasts category, and I have recently gotten a year long free trial of Apple TV+. So far I have watched The Morning Show, Mythic Quest, and a few other of Apples exclusive shows. And while at first I thought the shows would be bland and boring, I was pleasantly shocked. I think once Apple has made more tv shows, Apple TV+ could become a real competitor to Netflix, Hulu, and other popular streaming apps.
But as of right now with such a small selection of shows, Apple TV+ does not offer as much content as its competitors. Although, I do think the quality of their shows are better. But the quality of the shows is very subjective. The only part that is compelling about Apple TV+ is that it is only $5 a month, which is much cheaper than its competitors. The only other competitor that also provides a good price for what you get is the Disney+ bundle where you get Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN all for $13 a month. There are not many shows more than 30 minutes an episode that keep me engaged, but I can say that the Apple TV+ shows have kept me engaged for hours at a time. With new stories along with popular celebs, Apple TV+ has brought some really good shows.
The most recent show I watched was Defending Jacob. The show stars Chris Evans as the Assistant District Attorney tackling the case of a town murder, but things quickly turn around when his own son is suspected of being the murderer. As the name suggests, Andy Barber (Chris Evans) finds himself taken off the case and trying to defend his sons innocence. The drama is only 9 episodes, which I find to be a good amount because it doesn't feel as if the show is being dragged on. And that's what I enjoy about these shows, is that they never feel like they are being dragged on. Unlike most CW superhero shows where I have noticed that season after season, its the same concept repeated but with different villains.
In general I think Apple TV+ is great if you can get the year long trial, because it allows you to watch many, if not all, of Apples shows.
