Target Thoughts

Whenever I go to Target I feel the urge to buy more than I need. I am not sure if it is their clever marketing methods but whenever I go to other stores I don't feel the urge to buy things that are unnecessary. Even though Walmart is the same thing as Target but has more products, I am more inclined to feel the urge to buy unnecessary items at Target. I guess I like the layout that Target has throughout their stores, and the simple design of the store. It just goes to show that marketing is everything. I especially like Targets marketing style because of the way they have made people associate things to the name such as the Bull Terrier or the red target sign. I also think lighting plays a role in the shopping experience because it is a sign of how well the store is taken care of, which is something that is important to me and to a lot of people. Even if Target doesn't have the cheapest prices like Walmart, its the experience that makes the difference. Whatever Target is doing they have really honed in on it and have perfected it to the point where the average person wants to shop at Target.
